Super Urgent - Pre-Registration for Civil Society Forum in Sevilla, Spain

Pre-Registration for Civil Society Forum in Sevilla, Spain

The Financing for Development (FfD) Conferences are a series of major global meetings that focus on addressing the financial structural challenges required to achieve sustainable development. These conferences bring together governments, multilateral organizations, civil society, and the private sector to discuss and coordinate efforts on financial and related systemic issues in global economic governance.
The first of these conferences, the International Conference on Financing for Development, was held in Monterrey, Mexico, in 2002, where the Monterrey Consensus was adopted. This landmark document outlined six areas of financing for development, including domestic financial resources, foreign direct investment and other private flows, international trade, international financial cooperation, debt, and systemic issues such as global economic governance.
Subsequent conferences, such as those held in Doha (2008) and Addis Ababa (2015), have built upon the Monterrey Consensus, addressing emerging challenges and reinforcing the global commitment to finance development effectively and equitably. These conferences are crucial for setting international agendas and fostering cooperation to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This two-day forum will bring together activists, civil society organizations, networks, federations, and social movements that are engaged in the Financing for Development (FfD) Process and its interrelated domains. Expect insightful panels, strong analysis, in-depth discussions, and strategic planning in preparation for the FfD4 Conference.
The Civil Society FfD Mechanism, in close coordination with the Spanish CSO Coordination Group, is trying its best to secure the logistical premises for the Civil Society Forum, which will precede (on June 28-29) the Fourth Financing for Development Conference. We are aware the interest in attending the forum is extremely high, including by all those organizations that do not have formal accreditation to the main conference. It is difficult, however, to plan the logistics of the forum without knowing the expected scale of participation. We would appreciate it if each organization intending to participate could fill out this form urgently, possibly by no later than April 8th COB, as this will allow proper contracting of the Forum space. Please fill out only one form per organization, as the form requests the indication of the expected size of the delegation. Please note that the formal registration process (which will be for individual rather than organizational registration) will open soon. This form generates no obligations and no limitations of participation. This pre-registration is exclusively intended to get the pulse of the expected attendance.
